Many people are applying for various waivers and petitions to stay in the United States and build a better life for themselves and their families.
For some waivers or petitions, your attorney might request a psychological evaluation to help develop a stronger case.
Caton Richardson Mental Health PLLC can help provide you with professional evaluations for immigration. We work with attorneys to assist their clients in telling their stories. We translate your personal experiences comprehensively with clinical language and measures that enhance their case in a way that judges can understand.
We help our clients:
To become citizens.
Live without fear and worry.
Enjoy the freedoms and liberties that all US citizens have that helps to positively impact future generations in their families.
We offer several different types of immigration psychological evaluations:
Our Guarantee:
Your attorney can use a clinical evaluation to support your case and move you forward with your immigration proceedings. It is a valuable tool when applying for an immigration waiver.
There are times a psychological evaluation can be helpful – or at times even required –to move forward with immigration proceedings.
These reports include thorough documentation that your legal counsel can use to strengthen your court case. For example, while only 30% of asylum seekers are approved, 90% of those that include a psychological evaluation as part of their application are approved.
A big part of the psychological evaluation process is a clinical interview. It can feel intimidating, but our hope is for it to feel more like a relaxed discussion with a caring professional. The intention is to gather the information we need to provide USCIS and your legal counsel a clear picture of your situation. We will collect information over two (or more) one-to-two-hour sessions.
Session One: An informal interview will assess emotional strengths and weaknesses, mental functioning, and relevant family history. This tends to take approximately 90 minutes.
Session Two: Your second session occurs 7-14 days after your first session. It usually lasts approximately 60 minutes and typically includes diagnostic screeners, clarifies information from initial interview as needed and a timeline for completion of final report.
All of the information gathered during your clinical interviews will be used to compile the final report that will be provided to your legal counsel to support your immigration case.
The finished report will be professional, accurate, and thorough, typically about 12-18 pages in length.
We complete evaluations in 3-4 weeks, uncles otherwise requested. Expedited reports can be determined on a case-by-case basis for an additional fee.
The report will also consist of a review of pertinent documents, including medical and psychiatric records where indicated, a review of personal and family history, mental status evaluation, clinical interview, and psychometric screeners.
The evaluation details the client’s comprehensive personal history, including educational, medical, emotional, and financial stressors contributing to their desire to obtain an immigration waiver.
No worries! We provide professional translating services for your sessions that are included in the fee.
As long as your are within the borders of Nevada, Arizona or Texas we will meet with you virtually via a secure online platform. When you schedule your appointment, you will be provided with an online appointment slot and the links needed to attend. All you will need for your virtual appointment is an internet connection.
We take credit cards via payment app Ivy Pay. We typically break payment into three separate payments payable at each incremental part of the process. A payment the day prior to each interview and prior to providing the final report.
